We are excited to announce BRAVE Presents 2026. This is a scaled down mini Festival at the Bradford Arts Centre from 3pm – 8.30pm on Saturday17th October 2026. Put the dates in your diary! More details are coming soon. BRAVE stands for Black Roots and Voices Expressed and is a fun arts festival of performances and workshops in arts that originated in Black Culture.

BRAVE Festival is a Brave venture – Black artists stepped out and said actually, the way our culture is represented and defined isn’t good enough. We want to be known for what we have done rather than what was done to us.

It’s BRAVE to change to focus from slavery and oppression to joy, inclusion and knowledge through the arts.

Its BRAVE to come back for a second festival that is even bigger and better, but best of all this time we have involved local communities to be able to express themselves through the arts and have their say on what they wanted at the festival!
