Introducing the Leeds Carnival 


The Leeds West Indian Carnival is a fun and lively event with music, dance, costumes, food and entertainment.


The Leeds Carnival happens every year on the bank holiday weekend in August , with the main event being on the Bank Holiday Monday. On this page you will find information about the carnival to help make it more accesible, especially for people with dissabilities. Find information videos, a dance class, carnival costume craft and wrtitten information.

On the right, is a colouring in sheet. You can print it off at home and then colour it in to create wrist bands and a headress as part of a carnival costume.

Below is an example of how you might colour your costume in. If you have a colour printer, you may wish to print this of instead of colouring in.

As well as providing these resources, we are delivering Carnival Workshops for 20 groups for adults with learning dissabilities across Leeds. We would like to say a massive thank you to our funders and supporters for making this project possible.
